Love Is Never Lost

March 22, 2016

Last used March 22/16

Love is never lost
Only left behind or put in a place
Where it can’t grow.

Sow love seeds so dear
Nurture, care
Watch love grow.

No needy nor neglect
Let love grow in your heart
Don’t let it be, ever lost.

For this you’ll know
As you watch it grow
Love can never, ever be lost.

There Wasn’t Much Time

August 24, 2015

My Best Friend ~ Watercolour by Patrice

There wasn’t much time
There wasn’t a lot
So into the depth I went
I sought.

Not hoping to sacrifice
Those I’d lost
Maybe to recover my love
My lot.

In this life I’ve been living
Living with no thought
For those I’ve hurt or discarded
Certainly I’ve not.

It’s not the time
To think this
No
No, it’s not.

Who I Am – Why I’m Here – Part 4.

July 13, 2015

Study of hands and paint brushes ~ Illustration by Patrice for New Chalice Brushes

Months, maybe a year later I can’t recall, a friend was going thru a difficult time. She was lost, spiralling. I felt she needed something to hang onto, get herself steady, stabilized. See her way out of her troubles.

One morning it came to me… Why not post my affirmations, my poetry on my blog, accompanied by my art and photos? This could be a place where my friend could come daily. Maybe to be inspired to find solutions to her troubles, know she wasn’t alone.

So, that’s how my blog began and why I came to be here.

It is my hope my words, my art and photos will bring pleasure, enjoyment and inspiration to your life.

Cherish The One

April 24, 2014

Cherish the one who gives you joy
Cuddle the one who sinks beneath a burdened load
Find the one whose lost the road
Be yourself where’re you go.

Many The Border Cross

September 23, 2013

Many the border cross
Up to the promised land
Where joy
Wonder are lost.

No one is forsaken
Only lost in a world
Of no glory, sadness
Broken hearts.

Turn around
Turn back
The world you live in
Is not the one lost.

Only your way
That’s the thing
Lost.

Battle As If It Is Your Last

August 16, 2013

Flashing, Crashing, Pouring Down Storm ~ photo by Patrice

Battle as if it is your last
Incoming, incoming
Take no prisoners
Make sure you are the last
Standing
Never show that you are alone
Never show you care.

Battle hard
Use every weapon that you see
Leave nothing to chance
Or destiny.

Battle
Battle as if it is your last gasp
Never ever expect help to arrive
For you are the only one
Alive in your world
You must
You must survive.

Then you hear
A haunting call calming wind
And your breath is taken in
As you know
Someone great Is at the door
Someone you’ve never seen before.

Someone kind has come
To have your back
You can lay down
The weapons used to destruct
You can kneel and be kind
Knowing that you’re no longer
Or ever been
Alone.

Love is here embracing you
Treating life gently
With love coming from all around
Surrounding
Making you grow
Becoming the one you wanted
Always to know.

Battle not
Accept the love
You are not lost but found
Look all around.

So Many Commitments Lost

June 24, 2013

So many commitments lost
So many not fulfilled
Looking at myself
In disgust
For not being where I should.

So many changes
Were not mine.

Life goes on but in the meantime
Let me be the person
I should and want to be
Not losing anything that is dear
And right now lost to me.

Once More I Write 2013

January 2, 2013

Once more I write 2013. Still strange and scary in some way.

Gone, lost, done is the 2012 year.
Whatever I had wanted to accomplish in that year
I did – or – I didn’t.
It has ended now and I can’t change one bit of it.
Regrets? Yes.
Devastating? Most certainly.
Truly heart-warming? Yes, and much more.

Now I must move on, make this new year the best that I can.
Will I have setbacks and heartache?
Most likely.
But I know I will also have experiences that will take me to the top.
Joy, happiness, success and most of all, love.
This I know because I will make it so.
This is my plan. My resolution for this new year.

Come join me, make it your best year yet. Filled with happiness, love and those wonderful experiences that will carry you thru any dark days that do occur.
And be assured, they will happen.
But change that negative, find something positive in even those dark moments.

Make the world a better place because you were here and chose to do so.

I Close My Eyes Just To Feel My Heart

November 12, 2012

Dedicated to Sue, who has lost her beloved horse, Yorkie.
Our thoughts are with you.

I close my eyes just to feel my heart
Feel the pain
Please make it to depart
Lost to all never more to be
The call I loved and adored from thee.

Feel the sadness reign
Beginning down the path
Of no gladness, ecstasy
Only sadden, weeping pain.

You have gone, lost to me
Remorse is not the word
I need or want to see
Tears once of joy shattered
Left, gone no more to employ
Only rivers long, tragic and so deep
Flowing with overwhelming sadness
Do they weep.

Brought down to my knees
Blows of anguish
Anger
Morose disbelief.

Truly thought you’d live forever
Now know is never going to be
Love you ever
Ever please believe
Wanted never
You to leave me never
Ever leave me never please.

Now gone I oh so weep
I steep my heart in sorrow
Feel your presence and
Tomorrow I’ll close my eyes
Just to feel my heart
As it bleeds and weeps.

Human Kind

October 26, 2012

A child watches helplessly
As a hunter shoots her pet crow.
What part of that is Human Kind?

A teen is beaten about the head
Until she falls to the ground.
Kicked until she stands.
It then starts over again.
What part of that is Human Kind?

A young woman pleads
For her dog’s life
A rifle is pointed at her head
And she is told
‘Stop crying or I’ll shoot you too”.
What part of that is Human Kind?

~

Human Kind
Is when a police officer
Could have given a ticket
Towed the truck.
But instead
Leads you out of the dark
From lost back onto the right road.
That is Human Kind.

Human Kind
Is when four young men stop
To give a ride and support
To two young girls
One sobbing, stranded
Somewhere in the mountains
After being kicked out for refusing.
That is Human Kind.

Human Kind
Is when a friend
Wraps their arms around you
As you scream in anguish
Because a loved one has died.
That is Human Kind.

Human Kind
Is when a gentle soul
Helps you pick up the pieces
Of your broken heart
And put it back together.
That is Human Kind.

~

Be Human Kind.
