the beginning
not
the end.
Let your mind travel
down the path
navigating all bends.
Know your journey
starts
at the beginning
and ends when you see
that blazing light.

your gentle soul leaves this earth
when she takes
that
loving flight.

A hummingbird came
he sat
on the stair
his words were luscious
I knew he was there.
The beat of his wings
the flow of his heart
moved me to tears
I bowed down
I cried
I cried a lot.
For no more til spring
will I hear those sounds
as snow falls
baring down
on a land bleak
where
no hummingbird sounds.
Then
the snow will melt
the heavens wake
and
on his journey back
the hummingbird makes.
