no matter the width, the size
treasured forever
lived in from birth
to the time you die.
Feel the gentle breathing
of timbers and frame
holding strong
in winter winds, torrential rains.
All are welcomed
with love, no despair

step into this home.

the future
what’s to be
for you, for me.

but
first we have to
live it

A hummingbird came to my window
today
not seen since
in the fall
when they all
flew away.
Sweet nectar she’s looking for
needs right away
hovering, looking in
she tells me.
Get it ready!

The little hummingbird
is
hungry
she’s flown such a distance
from far
far away.
Now needs
some sweet substance
til
all the blooms
are
on display.
A hummingbird came to my window
and
told me all this
just this morning
just today.

I don’t write
I clear my head
of
the thoughts
swirling round
coming from those
that
are dead.
They need to say
to
ones alive
“I love you
I’ll help you through life
you will survive”
Sometimes
they’re kind
sometimes they’re sweet
sometimes though
they say
what needs to be said
to help
loved ones
get back up
on
their feet.
I thank them
for
coming
I appreciate they do
cause I too benefit
from
their words
that may be written
just for you.

to see
trees sway
on the wind
howling
through the quiet basin
Silent they are
but
not forbidden
to feel

move in rhythm.

Oh the world
is a miserable place
no joy
no saving grace
only heartache, sadness
anything else
I can’t endure
embrace
Then
a robin alights
on my garden gate
living in happiness
in delight
courting, laughing
as robins do
building a nest
making love
in the mists of evening’s dew
All will be
all is
as the creator planned
we’ll live
till
the sun sets on our lives
whether with
happiness
or
crying eyes.

my mind
does not dwell
on all
that could be wrong
I’m open to the world, the sky
I can see beauty
magic
in the smallest thing
I understand
how the world works
and
with your help
the universe
is mine
To dwell in
mine to embrace
give me what I need
I want
not just a little
but
everything.

leading you to chaos, killing
despicable misery
Don’t let him
be
the one who takes
you down
a path of loneliness, hatred
anarchy
Don’t let him
take away your livelihood
your dreams
destroy your country
your forests, rivers
diluting, polluting
everything

don’t let him
let him do these things.
