The Idea Came

The idea came
I think yesterday
All laden in glory, no more can I say.

The idea came
I don’t know from where
Out of the blue it was just was there.

The idea came
Quietly
No bolt of thunder or shouts of ecstasy.

So I must get busy, work away
And make it real
This idea that came to me yesterday.

Anticipation Rises

January 31, 2018

Stairs ~ Photo by Patrice

Anticipation rises
Failure devises
Ways to be left
In the wind.

Heart rate rises
No way can
Desires be ignored
Over and over again.

Falling Softly, Laying Quiet

January 30, 2018

Winter's Lane ~ Photo by Patrice

Falling softly
Laying quiet upon the ground
No sound tells the story
No wind whispers words
That made snow
Come falling down.

Sitting Here Thinking

Sitting here thinking
About what my day may be all about
Hoping for no pressure, just fun, laughter
You know what thats about.

Hoping my heart will grow with love
While my sorrows just ebb away
No tremendous thud
Yes, I could learn to love
What that is all about.

Just sitting here thinking
Thinking what my day
Is going to be all about.

Poetry

January 12, 2018

Chandelier Light ~ Photo by Patrice

Poetry
Taken from the pages
Of anarchy
Full in the hearts of subtlety
Showing no malice is
Poetry.

Poetry
Why have you come
To be my destiny?
Nothing matters but
The throes of the heart in
Poetry.

Poetry
Anger, passion, full
Of the vacant sound coming
From that original sin
Even then
Blessed is the heart
That changes history with
Poetry.

Poetry
No one can know what
Could have been
My heart, my love and
All life has been and now
Come be within
Poetry.

Precious Little

January 9, 2018

Crocus in spring ~ Photo by Patrice

Precious little
Comes to mind
When I hold the world
So divine.

Precious little
Crosses my mind as flowers bloom
Streams run wild
Mountains are so fine.

Precious little
Is on my mind
I can’t decide whether to run away
Relish or to hide.

Precious little
Is mine
Mine to decide.

We Are In A Deep Freeze

January 5, 2018

Deep Freeze ~ Photo by Patrice

We are in a deep freeze
A deep, deep freeze
Cold does not cover what it is
Breath taken away
Frozen in a frigid atmosphere.

Those you hold dear
Should not be out or near
Frozen
Smother instead with warm
Blankets of unfrozen love.

Polar bear cold
Things are froze
No one knows how deep
Or long it will go
Don’t know.

Please no longer than a sleep
Let it creep back up
Let us experience heat
No more deep, deep freeze
Oh please some heat!

I Will Tell You When

January 4, 2018

Pile of Wood ~ Photo by Patrice

I will tell you when
I need to know
All the things that didn’t show
The world in it’s best light
Lived, lost
Wandered in the night.

Now my soul doesn’t like
To be left alone
Holding tight to a time
When love was free
Joyous, happy
All of these.

I will live on in life
Munster much, avoid most strife
Come to be the answer
I need to know
The answer I’ll tell you then
When I know.

When The Time Has Come

January 3, 2018

When the time has come
When the time has an end
We all sacrifice and bow
To a power greater than ourselves
A power mighty
We don’t always comprehend.
