anything important

that’s been?
Maybe together
maybe as one
we’ll be able to understand

On solid rock
Caress
The clouds
Feel the snow.

I’ve felt your sweet breath
upon my face, my hair
your soft voice sweetly calls
from somewhere, somewhere
but I don’t know where
your steps direct my feet
they lead me in a way so discreet
I can’t falter nor wander
you guide me, guide me there
I feel no despair
you are with me where’er I go
I know, I know you’re there.

What the heart doesn’t care
Buried in messed up
I sip from a cracked, broken cup
Tears run
My heart weeps
For the love, the mystery
That wasn’t mine
To keep.

Not my responsibility
I do know I can’t be afraid
Of the future nor remorseful
Of my past destiny.
My duty to me
Is to combine what I don’t know
With what I do know
Living in the midst of that
Which is now a blessed me.

Let the happening
Take its toll.
All is sufficient
Some of which
I don’t know.
Let the ruckus be
Let it travel on
Like the rest of us
To find its own true destiny.

Finding a way to go
To my salvation
A road I don’t know.
Picking a fight
With one who scolds
No remorse
Only things I do know.
See the light
See it shine ever so bright
Follow it
Follow it into redeeming night.

Filled with misery
I won’t call
Weep or wail
Sad words
They won’t prevail.
Marching on
Marching forward
Taking positive
Shielding my soul
From all
Nothing more
Than
A coward.
See that light
Feel it fill the sky
Warm my heart
Pour radiance
Throughout the world
Bring glad tears
Healing
To my eyes.
