In the heart of my distress
I find an ark of happiness
Ferrys me to a life
In heaven’s image
No heartache, nor strife
In my dreams I seek, I see
This hallowed place I saw
I seek.

Rocking horse ride
Thundering across the plain
Nostrils flared
Mane aflame.
Rocking horse ride
Without a care
Through the meadow
On the path of some incidental.
Rocking horse ride
With power and strength
No thought
For heartache or complaints.
Rocking horse ride
Throughout time
Please don’t leave
Me far behind.
Rocking horse ride
And understand no bar’s too low
Or hill too high
For a rocking horse to ride and ride.

I have joined the Automatic Worldwide WP 5k and am going to commit to a 5k run each day from yesterday, Oct. 26th to Sunday, Nov. 1. It’s not that I’m an overachiever or anything, it’s just that on Nov. 4th, I’m having a cataract operation and have been told – No Exercise! – So, I’ll do as much as I can, while I can 😀
See you on the road, treadmill, pathways, anywhere there’s a 5k run in it!
The first of the 5k Runs for the next week was done in the afternoon on a beautifully wooded, winding, moderately flat road. Along with my trusty running partner, Mr. Thor who’s stoked to be doing it too!!! And I should add, charted on RunKeeper.com
My Second Day of the ‘Running with Automatic Worldwide WP 5k
was done on a treadmill
😦
It was late in the afternoon and didn’t have the light or time to go on the roads.
My trusty ‘Running Partner’ was there at my side once again.
The view was stationary but still lovely.
BUT!!!
I did have to pause to take a picture as my running on the treadmill gave a very distorted picture…
Then we were finished for that day!
😀
And the reading said it all.
5k or 3.10 miles done.
Completed.
Tomorrow is another day.
Another run.
One more day, one more run on the treadmill.
Not my favourite, but just not nice out there. Tons of cold and wind, so the treadmill it is.
And the view isn’t that bad.
My dear, sweet running partner is out here with me!
And then we’ve Got’er Done!
Til tomorrow.
😀
Sadly, Day 4 is ANOTHER treadmill day
😦
It was dark outside and miserable.
So, treadmill it is
again.
No pictures of the view because it would just be black night.
Gratefully
My running partner was beside me all the way
🙂
See you tomorrow – hopefully out on the road
🙂
I climbed to the top of the sky
Came back down
Don’t know why.
Maybe to climb again
Share the time
Feel the view
See the height
The deep dark blue.
I climbed to the top of the sky
Looked around
Then
Came back down.

Today I was outside again and LOVING it!

Going down a dirt road, winding and climbing thru beautiful scenery
And once again, accompanied by my dedicated running partner!
All is well
Good today and tomorrow.

Feeling the heartache
Feeling it within
Gracing landscape paper thin.
Teardrops raining across the view
Fogging the horizon
Can’t see pass, can’t see you.
Never know what’s happening
Nor feel any gain
Crossing my fingers need not explain.
But there
In your comfort
You laugh just the same.

Morning rises clear and bright
Dismissing all that plagued the night.
Optimism reigns supreme
Knowing what must be done
Here in the morning sun.
Clouds may hinder passing light
But don’t forget the morning bright.
This is new, fresh and clear
Make it right my morning dear.

When The Sorcerer Comes To Town
October 26, 2015When the sorcerer comes to town
The earth will stop and rotate back around
No friendly comment can expose
A sneaky agenda found beneath the folds
Then and only then will laughter stop a train
Heartache be nothing and nothing to blame
When the sorcerer comes to town
Will you be here or over there?
Will I stand tall or fade to fair?
Will trees bend dropping leaves
Upon the ground
Or reach up scratching heaven’s sky?
Don’t know but I will tell you why
When the sorcerer comes to town.
