Herald the coming storm
Dark of night enveloping
With mighty might
Crossing over land
Thundering
Making creatures cringe
While most don’t understand.
Here I am
Waiting, watching, listening
Holding on
As the coming storm
Keeps coming on.

Dangerous messages lying in repose
Waiting for the time
When damage can be imposed.
Nothing right, all is wrong
No recourse
The words too strong.
Those dangerous messages now litter the throng
Holding hostage all that’s good
Ruling with what is wrong.
Sadness part of the hour
Part of the one holding
Dangerous messages changing the world
All around.

I don’t know, I don’t know
How the world turns
Or where storm clouds go
I don’t know, I don’t know.
I don’t know, I don’t know
Why everything has an enduring spring
A cascading fall in between
Summer hot or cold, white winter falling
I don’t know, I don’t know.
I don’t know, I don’t know
Which one shows me life to live
Steps to take through it all
I don’t know, I don’t know.

I am the one
Who saves my life
The one who guides me
Thru the strife.
I am the one
No need to guess
Still I know, I need not think
I’m alone
And hopelessly guideless.
I am the one
But at my side, in front of me
Has my back, my destiny
A soul so strong, so kind to me
Shows me right and that that’s wrong.
I am the one
Who chooses my each and every way
Thou I know that kind soul
Guides me all through the day.

Conscious of nothing
Enveloped in a vacuum of nothing
Echo, hollow resounded on nothing.
Then
Kindness opens up the earth to everything
Making the world mine to believe and enjoy.
Nothing is left behind
But
Cared for by everything.

Kindness borrows heaven’s sorrows
Stores them in a safe, grace filled place
Now gone from ladened brow
A smile crosses that once saddened face
Lifting up in hopeful praise
No more to see, feel or fear
Just held with kindness
In heaven’s grace.
~ Patrice

– Bruce Adams/Daily Mail
Maybe together
We can master the stage
We’ve been put upon.
Maybe Together
We can find true love
And lasting memories
To call upon.
Maybe Together
We’ll reach out and find
The place, the kind that’ll propel us
To the next human sweetness
Human kind.
Together forever
Maybe together
We’ll find.
~ Patrice

Dear Lord let me be strong
And full of dignity
Let me see your guiding light
Bright
Even in the darkest night
Dear Lord let me be.
Let me feel your guiding hands
Pull me in the way you command
Dear Lord let me be
A child of your God in your image
Strong and free
Dear Lord let me be.

Winding thru
The intertwined
Difficult to see the reason
Or the sanity.
Scary
Step one step before the other
Thoughts meshed with a coldness
A shutter.
Question only
When I get thru
Will I be able to come back
To save another?
~ Patrice
