Yeah, Yeah

March 25, 2015

Yeah, yeah
Is what I say
To everything today.

Sordid, angry, no patience, no way
Yeah, yeah I’ll be better tomorrow
Or maybe the next day.

See no joy, no harm in any way
Just down
It’s a yeah, yeah kind of day.

Blessed I guess, cause I can have
A Yeah, yeah day and no trouble
Consequences come my way.

Must find goodness, find a way
To see happiness
In a yeah, yeah type of day.

Days Move Forward

March 24, 2015

Vancouver Game Farm Giraffe ~ Illustration by Patrice

Days move forward
Gone one by one
Packed with something
But neither overrun
With sadness, happiness
Or blissful dreams
Days move forward
Inspite of all these things.

What you see
May be what you dreamed
Or what you saw
In an unhealthy scene
Don’t deny that it has been
For you can only move pass
When you know it’s been
As days move forward
In the scheme of things.

You Decide

March 23, 2015

Rodeo Rider ~ Photo by Patrice

You decide
whether the storm is cold
Or summery hot
You decide.

The future your’s to take
The path to the left
Or go to the right
You decide.

See blissful rain
Or shattering shame
Your decision
You decide.

Your heart won’t know
Til your ears do cry
And your eyes see what
You decide.

I Thought

March 19, 2015

I thought of that
And now don’t know why.

I thought of this
And now I feel a need to cry.

I thought of things
And still didn’t feel a thing.

I thought so
And now I know I didn’t know
Anything.

Watching The World

March 18, 2015

Moving Pass ~ Photo by Patrice

Watching the world in front of me
Busy, gracefully happy
It is what it is and can be.

Part of my dream, my fantasy
Not a word is said, no thunder clap
Only conveyed heartfelt courtesy.

With this and that sitting here quietly
Smiling joyfully
Watching the world unfold in front of me.

Hunger So

March 17, 2015

Perfect Little House ~ Photo by Patrice

Hunger so
Need the help
Not sure why.

Please Lord
Let me not die
Holding on to something
That won’t even cry.

Hunger so sad
Cause
Not sure why.

Remember Much

March 16, 2015

My sweet Ursa ~ Photo by Patrice

Remember
Much has happened
Not all for the best.

Much is done
Now we must let it rest.

Much can be
Accomplished
Thou not right now.

Much of your journey
Is part
Of your heart.

Much to remember
Now
Is when to start.

Helping Those Who Help

March 12, 2015

Ursa and Aggy ~ Photo by Patrice

Helping those who help
Seeking ones who need
Whether it be you
Whether it be me.

Small steps in the midst
Of caring joy carrying
Helping
Those who seek.

Looking Back

March 11, 2015

Benji remembered - Photo by Patrice

Looking back upon my life
Things seem to be
Sometimes
Not very nice.

Looking back not sure what
Got me here
Never saw but felt it near
A presence
Being absolute
Holding me with resolute.

Looking back I can’t see why
I struggled so and didn’t die
Think cause it would pick me up
Dust me off, pat me on the back
Saying words “Go ahead you’re not dead”
“Life has still a lot to offer.”

Looking back down my way
I see I didn’t walk alone
Nor did I saunter
But full stream ahead is what I did
For I had my heart, my soul
And the help a presence offered.

Honestly, Sometimes

March 10, 2015

Footprints in the sand - Photo by Patrice

Honestly
I don’t know where to be
Honestly
The path is winding way beyond me
Do I follow it?
Do I turn the other way
Seek the horizon there across the bay?
Honestly
Can you tell me?

Sometimes
I don’t know what to say
Or just how I’ll find my way
Sometimes
I just don’t know
That’s when I have to trust
Everything will be alright
Sometimes
Everything will flow
To a place I sometimes know.
