Help Is Here For Me

June 4, 2014

Help is here for me
I can see
I can see it in my destiny.

I know no one helps
With things like that
It must come from the help that
I see, feel and is inside of me.

I see help for me.

I Write Today

June 3, 2014

I write today things I need to say
Things that can’t be left in the back of a sodden mind
Need to get them out
Need to see just what they’re all about.

Today
I will write them down
Whether they be trivial or profound
That’s what I’ll write down.

An Old Soul Once Told Me

June 2, 2014

An old soul once told me
‘Be kind, gentle and above all full of courtesy’.

Makes no difference that old soul you see
Was a dog I knew
Oh, just so briefly.

Thank you for your assistance
With deepest gratitude.

Your smiling face full of grace
Mine full of gratitude

Maya, Maya Angelou

May 29, 2014

Maya, Maya Angelou ~ My Hero.

Maya Angelou was and is my hero, my saviour.
Long before I wrote this blog or anything for that matter, one day, I came across a Daily Affirmation calendar of Maya’s sayings and other affirmations
inspired by her.

I needed it, no matter the cost.
You see, at that time I had very, very little money to spare and to spend it on a ‘Daily Affirmation’ calendar was well, frowned upon ~ by me.

It was a life preserver, a lifeline to a drowning soul.

Her writings are magical. They saved me. Made me feel like I was important, had rights, dreams and could dare to dream and accomplish what I desired. This grand lady inspired not only me, but the whole world. I am so grateful for having this wonderful, talented, perceptive lady to guide me in my life.

Adieu great, fine lady, adieu.

Ralph Rides With Me

May 27, 2014

Ralph's Red Van ~ Photo by Patrice

Ralph rides with me
Just as long as he needs to see
I know everything and how it goes.

My jeep was dying piece by piece
When a friend said
“I know of a car that just might do”

Off we went to check it out
Ralph’s red van
Left as if he’d just stepped out.

I said yes to this red van
The one that belonged to
Ralph the Man.

I feel his presence beside of me
Cause you see, for a little while
Ralph rides with me.

Still Wondering

May 26, 2014

Still Wondering
On this another day
As I haven’t found a way
To conquer all my fears
Or still the voices of distain
And sacrifice all the blame.

Still wondering
What this day has been
And wondering what tomorrow
Will unfold to bring, wondering
Still wondering.

Wondering Once Again

May 23, 2014

Study of hands and paint brushes ~ Illustration by Patrice for New Chalice Brushes

Wondering

Once again.

Wondering

What is best?

Wondering

If I’ll make the right decision.

Wondering

Will it affect the rest?

Wondering

What will come to be?

Wondering

What will happen to me?

– No answers come but still –

Still I’m wondering.

Wondering

Just the same.

So Much Could Happen

May 22, 2014

Beautiful Raining ~ Photo by Patrice

So much
Could happen
If I knew the reason
Why I came here
What I need to see
Need to be.

See far meadows
See trees blowing
In the breeze.

Are these
These what I need
Need to see?

Breathe in salt air
As it crashes
Sinks back
To emerald depths
In a deep blue sea.

Will I reach these?
These I need to see
Need to hear
Those I do so need?

Then a sigh
I hear, I hear
My life is right
I’m where I need
Right where I need
To be.
