Pleading With Myself

January 16, 2019

Spike ~ Watercolour Art by Patrice

Pleading with myself, I said

— Be careful —
Step slowly with a definite purpose
Leave no one behind
Deny not the living kind
Express yourself with love and kindness
Saying nothing but the best
Then laugh and let it be
Let it rest.

Heartfelt Heartache

January 15, 2019

Old House Window ~ Photo by Patrice

Heartfelt heartache
Bleeding me dry
Remorse
Smouldering
As I cry.

No cruel words
Need to be said
For flags of submission
Can be seen
Flying overhead.

I’m on a downward
Roll-a-coaster slide
Out of control
Bleeding
As I die.

Life Is A Joy

January 14, 2019

Downy Woodpecker ~ Photo by Patrice

Life is a joy
Nowhere is there room
For sadness
Heartache nor doom.

If you see that
All comes to be
Just what
Just what you need.

Never Known Where I Belong

January 11, 2019

Rottie Pups ~ Painting by Patrice

Never known where I belong
Seems to me my whole family
Is just wrong.

Why? Why?

Neither does my love’s
Seem willing to embrace
Me strong.

Why? Why?

I don’t know where I belong
Wherever I go
The same seems to apply.

Why? Why?

Am I from another earth?
Do I belong in a time
Gone by?

Can’t say
Don’t know what’s wrong.

Or should I just understand
The world belongs to those
That accept different as they are
Part of the woven web
Is what we are.

We belong, we belong
I now know where it is I belong.

Riches

January 10, 2019

Winter Water ~ Photo by Patrice

Riches found, riches in every way
Looking out onto riches
To the end of the day.

Riches are all I see
Riches free
Riches for you, for me.

I Have To Go

January 8, 2019

May 24th Celebration in Jarvis ~ Photo by Patrice

I have to go, I mustn’t stay
The world moves on there is decay

But beneath the depths
A spirit cries loud and clear

Bring your best
I’ll hold her safe, I’ll hold him dear.

Only Thru The Looking Glass

January 7, 2019

Looking Thru the Looking Glass ~ Selfie

Only thru the looking glass
Can I see what resides
Resides inside of me.

Only thru the looking glass
Will I be able
Able to be free.

Only thru the looking glass
Can I really
Really be me.

Good Beginnings

January 4, 2019

Good beginnings
Caress the past
Moving forward
Beyond the last
Making new ones
As they come to be.

No one knows
Just what’s in store
Only that the way
Is open and
Pulls us through
Here to this day.

Showing
Another time
Beginning now today
But always, always
Starting yesterday.

Anger Oozes

January 3, 2019

Wood Sadness ~ Photo by Patrice

Anger oozes thru my bones
Frustrating cries
Amongst the moans.

No one knows the course I take
Be it bleak
Or forsake all around
Who try to help.

Nothing works
I am I feel, the one in hell
Who
Will surely melt.
