Holding on
Standing firm
Not backing up just to conform
Going nowhere but here.
Holding on despite
The awful atmosphere
You will tell, I’ll be told
All the reasons
This should not unfold.
Then on we’ll go
Never looking back
For we’re holding on
We’re on track.

Let the drum rolls roll
Let the beginners keep time
Sacrifice nothing
Bow to no one
Stand on your own feats
Being kind

Enter my mind today
Let them carry me thru the New Year

Last day of a time gone thru
When everything’s done
Came back lived by me, by you.
Looking forward to days ahead
Not back at neither sorrow or dread
Only joy, “Remember it” she said.
Bring it forward to this New Year
Live it to the fullest

Steeling to make it thru the night
While thinking of basking

Making no matter of the matters

Come into my head
Some beautiful
Some filled with dread.
I think of them and then
Let those memories go
Back to the place where
All memories need to go.
There to stay til drawn again
To the front of my mind
To relive and live
Those memories one moe time

None that I heard today
Only words of excellence
That’ll last me
Throughout the journey

Why it spins
Falling never
Never calling out
Never stopping

To wonder why.

The fight is on
Foes look eye to eye
No backing down
No clowning round.
Serious words uttered
Marching feet make
The ground shutter.
The sun looks dim
Trying to hide behind
Dark clouds that weep within.
No winners allowed
Only brave hearts move forward
No matter the thoughts
Indecisive or strong.
There is no right
There is no wrong.
