Sadness streams down my face
Dreams
Remembered of another place
Trying to correct wrongs done
In that other time, that other place
No help
Can be strong enough
No help to carry me away
From that sad, sad place
Today.

Dear Lord help me
Let me be secure
Within your arms forever
Forever
An eternity.

No more can I see
The difference in the land, the sea
It seems to me
They are all the same
Same as you, as me.
Flowing, growing
Living life as best
They can.
Just like you, just like me.

Somewhere out there
You be
Living, loving
Being the best
You can be.
I must find you
I must be
Like you
Loving, caring
Full of beauty, curiosity.

I wonder
What it is all about
I wonder
What will come about.
My heart is full
My eyes do see
Wonders
In every crack and cranny.

You joke with me
We laugh till we cry
Life is good
The sun shines bright
In a blue, blue sky
Troubles do unfold
But don’t make us sad
Make us cry
For we have one another
We are strong
We will survive.

Life goes on
through good and bad
life gives
sadness and then
it uplifts
it makes us glad.
Be strong, be kind
generous
full of love for all beasts, fowl
the giving earth
and
the deep blue sky.
But
most of all
to
all mankind.

Standing on the precipice
Going forward
Then
Looking back to see
All those who stand
Stand with me.

Hold me close, let me go
No more to see the agony
Keeping me all alone
Destitute
Far from where I want to be
Hold me
Hold me then let me go
Trusting I’ll find my way
No matter where the path may lead
Where I need to go.
