Feel the green coming thru
Up from ground all muddy too
Crickets run across the lane
To get to where is their domain.
Birds fly by tired from
Their trip up north
Gleaming food
from any source.
Sun is weak and far away
Coming closer day by day
Smile, relax know for sure
Weather cures all winter blues.

When I decide
To see, to be
The compassionate being
I need to be
My heart, my soul will grow
Flourish
In this life
I’ve come to know.

Nothing
Works as well
As getting it done.
Nothing
Holds as still
As work undone.
No one knows the reason
Why the hour has begun
Only that as usual
Nothings
Getting done.

Did you ever wonder why
We did the things we thought
The things we did?
No one else could tell
How it would go
It would smell
No one said or did they yell.
Then its over, we could tell
No morse code
No Hail Mary
Or playing William Tell.
All’s gone, all that’s left
Is the wonder why
We did the things we thought
The things we did
So well.

Snow falls
Covers all
Falling
Falling
Drifting to the ground.
Piled high
Almost to the sky
Snow blows
Blows
Blows all around.
Critters dive
Into banks of white
Some to hide
Others to
Eat
Eat a hidden feast.
On a ground covered
There is no sound
As snow falls
Covering
Covering frozen ground.

A flower wilts
A flower dies
Its life with us
Has said goodbye.
No more joy to bring
Like it once did
All dead, gone
Done with it.
A flower dies
That had a life
Giving beauty, joy
In such a lovely life.
Now is gone but in out mind
We still see
A flower that once
Breathed eternal beauty.

Sadness again rears it’s head
As I think of those we’ve lost
Those that are now dead.
Lived lives we did share
Held them close, loved them
But now despair.
Remember
Remember those gone
Not so much with sadness
But rejoicing love forever long.

The bottom falls out
That’s when I see
The dirty truth
That’s been hiding
From me.
I didn’t know
I couldn’t see
All that sordid, disgusting
Lying
Cheating on me.
Now I’m free
I can see
To help those in the same state
That once held
Imprisoned me.

Anger still
Dwells in my head.
Rushing rage
Instead of quiet thoughts
Those not laid to bed
Ones none can quiet
Pushing thru
Shoving niceness
Out the door
Seeing red.
A cold blizzard
Filled with evil
The only thing in store.
Standing alone
Hurting head
Wrongs done
Festering
Boiling in my veins
Cursing
Spewing words of malice
Unprecedented dread.
Anger still
Still anger in my head.

I had a dream last night
Everything was alright
Making me think
I’ve done something right.
There were no reproaches
No “What if I had done?”
It was nice this recollect.
It made me feel
I could bask in the sun
Relax and display all I had done.
Sometime go back
Look at your life
See the positive
Forget the strife.
Maybe then you’ll say
“I had a dream last night
And everything is alright.”
