Heard a robin
today
It’s song played
happily
in
my head
For now
I know
what lies ahead
Spring, summer
then
late fall
All in order
That’s
what I hear
when
the robin calls.

My heart aches
my soul cries
for a time
of clear innocence
a time that time
has taken
to the past
No more to feel
to bask
in rays of light
hearted laughs
Sadness overwhelms
hurt
seems to last
til no more tears left
to sob
crying for the now
distance past.

in jest or a little angry
things could be worked out
We were happy
Now it seems
the world stands still
in
disbelief
The sun shines elsewhere
hiding
And
us?
We’re not happy.

You Don’t Know Me

you’ve never seen me
But
I know you
Your heart is
evil
filled with hate
taking advantage of
the weak, the vulnerable
those looking
for
someone great
But
Unfortunately
all they get is
what’s good for you
what lines your pockets
and
those you bought
those that will participate
in your killing schemes, your lies
your hate.
