All Three In A Row

November 15, 2013

All three in a row
Sitting, resting nowhere to go.

Pleasant and mild
The height of haute style
Sitting, resting
Certainly to be there awhile.

Ah, doesn’t it make you smile.

Sleepy, Lazy Day

July 4, 2013

Sleepy, lazy day
Working towards
Accomplishments
That’ll change
All my days.

A smile and some sad
The good and the bad
It’s all here
On a sleepy, lazy
My kind of working day.

That’s why I say
I’m hoping I hear
It’s all here
To stay.

One More Day To Go

April 29, 2013

One more day to go
One more day
And I’ll be away
Far, far away from
All that holds me
To this particular day.

I’ll smile and laugh
Life will just be a gas
It won’t last
But in one more day
It’ll be enough
To make me smile
For one more day.

Yes, one more day
And then I’ll be gone
Far, far away
In one more day.

Can I Fix It?

April 26, 2013

Downy Woodpecker ~ photo by Patrice

Can I fix it?
Will I be the one
That’s the hero
In a situation
That should not be?

Crushed and miserable
Full of doubt
Must move forward
Cast it out.

Smile with gratitude
Mean it
See it radiate
All about.

My strength and smile
Will cast misery out.
Can I fix it?
I have no doubt.

I Didn’t Draw, I Wouldn’t Paint

December 3, 2012

Safe and Strong ~ illustration by Patrice

I didn’t draw, I wouldn’t paint
Little love, lots of hate
Time stood still
And seemed to crawl
No one knew
What could or would be all.

Focused on the wrong thing then
Didn’t know what was up
Or around the bend.
Hardship was a constant friend
Little laughter to ease my way
Just disaster each turn I made.

Then they came and held me up
Turned me round to see the light
Not just of love
But a grandeur life
Stroked my soul, made things right
This they did for me one night.

They stood behind, smiled and laughed
No judgement made in this my craft
What took so long?
You might ask
But only those who know
Can answer that.

Cheerful, Smile, See Life Full

November 30, 2012

First Snow and Sparrow ~ photo by Patrice

Cheerful, smile
See life full.

Laughter, kindness
Make it well rounded
Not only full.

Step forward
Embrace the heart felt
Honour you can bestow.

Take it in
And let it go.

Out to the world
Beautiful, marvellous
Bringing us together
Completed, full.

Smile And Laugh

November 20, 2012

Smile and laugh.
See the world as a beautiful place to be.
See joy and beauty.
Caress the love you feel and that envelops your soul.

There Lies The Reason That I Cry

November 16, 2012

There lies the reason that I cry
No, not the one you’d think
But the reason
That makes me cry and cry.

Whenever I smile
Laugh and go ahead
Something in the back
Holds oh so much
Awful, awful dread.

Makes me cry
Makes me shed
Tears not of happiness
But
Those of monster dread.

Seek and find the reason
That I cry
Seek and find the reason
I feel like I want to die
When I think
Of that dreadful reason
That makes me cry and cry.

Bring it to the open
Expose it to the light
No more hidden
In the darkness of tear light.

Change those tears
And cry’s of sadness
To ones crying
In ecstasy and delight
My life will then not be hidden
In the darkness of tear light.

See The Mess And Learn

November 9, 2012

See the mess and learn
How to clean it up
Do what it takes to make it not
Proud and bold step right up
To the job of cleaning up.

Not your room
I think not
Most likely just your life
Needs cleaning up.

Make room for order
Get rid of strife
Happiness and joy make it flow
Help you ease thru trouble
Trepidation, evil might
All that slows the clean up fight.

Never mind
What’s come before
Focus
On the present life.

Clean it up
Make it right
Smile a lot, see the light
For you’ve seen a mess
And made it right in this
Your own clean up fight.
