The things that shouldn’t be

Wants to hold you

Morning light

Far away from any strife

The remnants of winter lie
Melting away
Littering the roads, rivers
Even the optimistic sky.
Up from the last days of winter
Springing
To the cloudy skies
Buds emerge
Promising renewed life.
Living
Because of melting remnants
Winter’s last gasp
Her dying cries.

Set adrift
In an ocean of sadness, madness
Awful despair and spite.
I swim frantically towards
What I hope will be my saviour
My rescue.
All that I need

Heaven
