Dreadful thoughts
Lead the way
In the morning
Throughout the day
My purpose it seems
Is to take
Those awful thoughts away.
Put them in a place
They can’t speak
Can’t have their say
Those dreadful thoughts
Which are just a heartbeat
A moment
A thought away.

Show vision
To those whose minds
Are imprisoned.

The reason why
The solid earth beneath my feet
Radiates love
Leaving no room
For defeat.
My mouth says words
Needed to be said
My hands hold
Thankfulness for all I see
