Focus
Focus on my mind.
What has it to offer?
What has it to demand?
Let it work along side
My heart
To fulfill all I can.
Focus
Focus and be
The person
Whose made a difference
Whose took a stand.

Once
Once upon a time
I dreamed
Dreamed you were mine.
This was a time
When all was perfect
And sublime.
Yes, you were mine
When I dreamed of a
Oh so perfect time.

No bittersweet goodbyes
Only loving, happy times
When you were mine
In a perfect time.
It was a time
The sun shone down on us
Filling all with a radiant glow
Of tender love
Sweet tender love.
I dreamed a dream
Once upon a time
When you
You were mine.

My heart grows old
With stories that are told
Snuggled in a soul
That will never, ever
Grow old.

My heart writes another story
Storing it in the middle of eternity
Not to be beholden to anybody
Just out there living, living the story.

I didn’t know, I don’t know
How it would go
Could I reframe
From
Laughing, smiling or crying
Hold it close
Or
Let it go
Take a step to the left or
Move
Back to the right
Turn
Go anywhere
But does it seem right
Cause
I didn’t know, I don’t know.

Wandering now
Where I’ve never been
Seeking now
Things I’ve won’t begin
Leaving now
Thoughts I shouldn’t have held so tight
Gone now
From the darkest night
Flowing now
On a path not so straight
Holding now
Promise as I go to the light.

Deep sorrow, absolute horror
For fire has claimed lives
And ones who loved
Will never be the same
Smoke billowed, fire raged
Taking life, killing
Killing at such a savage pace
No hope, desperate loss
In a desparate place.
But see
See gentle souls rising
In the midst of raging fire’s rage
For though gone
Peace now, quiet time
Running freely in heaven’s place
Lost to the earth they have not lost
Nor never will
The loving race.
~ Patrice
My deepest sympathies to those that have loss so much. So sorry. So very sorry.

I am the one
Who saves my life
The one who guides me
Thru the strife.
I am the one
No need to guess
Still I know, I need not think
I’m alone
And hopelessly guideless.
I am the one
But at my side, in front of me
Has my back, my destiny
A soul so strong, so kind to me
Shows me right and that that’s wrong.
I am the one
Who chooses my each and every way
Thou I know that kind soul
Guides me all through the day.
~ Patrice

Stay for the day
Don’t wander, falter in anyway
Sacrifice your heartache
Throw out those that naysay
Stay in the hour
In the moment
Every second, everyday
For all time
Today.
