If I had not got lost, I would never have found myself.

Tenderness is such a wondrous thing
It brings us close and it brings us things
Best of all it brings us love.
Tenderness is a wondrous thing.

Me and my Shadow
Are traveling thru
Life’s twists and turns
Purple haze of blue.
Me and my Shadow
Have come to see
Opportunities
Of the highest degree.
Me and my Shadow
Don’t lecture or seek
We follow the road
Where it seems to lead.
Me and my Shadow
Have long been together
Together we see
Yet she stays with me.
Me and my Shadow are traveling thru
The bumps and the curves
The ones we need too.
I thank you my Shadow
For all that you do
And standing behind me
No matter what I may ever do.

Feel the green coming thru
Up from ground all muddy too
Crickets run across the lane
To get to where is their domain.
Birds fly by tired from
Their trip up north
Gleaming food
from any source.
Sun is weak and far away
Coming closer day by day
Smile, relax know for sure
Weather cures all winter blues.

There in my heart
The world comes alive
Feeling the love, strength
Of those I abide.
Dwell deep within
Then rocketing back out
I be the one my heart
Needs me to be about.

I feel the coldness in my heart
I feel it envelope me
Turning all to frozen frost
No emotion, no anger, shame or fear
No happiness, laughter or anything sincere
This coldness is all I feel
Here in my frozen sphere.
Let love break the way
Melt sadness, anger all away
Rushing forth with laughter
Keeping coldness far at bay
Drip love down deep within my soul
Making warm caring thoughts
Embrace me entirely all today
Keeping coldness far, far away.

May the rain flow
Onward onward
Into the river of life.
Onward, onward
To a place of no strife
Peaceful beauty
Take me in
Run over me
Cleanse my sin
Bask in the sunshine
Sleep with no fear
Beautiful rain
Flow
Onward from here.

Holy crap, holy shit
How did this come to be?
Drove into dusk
To a friends house
For a brake adjust
Enjoyed our time
Heated garage, work all done
Chinese food, a little dim sum.
Driving home in the dead of night
Turned a corner and what a fright
Flew fast, skidded left
Then a half a circle to the right
In a split second saw all my life.
Came to a stop
Teetering on the edge
Of a snowbank facing back
To where I’d come from.
Took a breath backing up
Turned around
Go forward asking
“What was all of that?”
Trade places for a ways
Smoke billowing, smell frightening
We might just have a blaze.
Park it, wait for the tow truck
Holy shit, holy crap
Go for a brake job
Come home
In a flatbed tow truck.

Snow is falling softly
gently down upon a cold
Hard bitter ground
Unforgiving in this season angry
As we struggle to be warm.
Quietly snow covers all
That harsh, hard cold
Making soft and warm it seems
This landscape filled with cold.
Blanket all the world
In white beauty bold
There til spring
The ground does sleep
While we wait for warmth
To unfold.
Springing forth in vibrant colour
Joyous singing can be heard
May we rest in quiet winter
Tucked beneath a blanket white
Waiting for spring to tell us
This is the time to spring to life.
