Thank you for giving us a special boy
Who by being him has mended a broken heart
Breathed life where there was despair
Given joy where there was no hope
We thank you Lizz
So very glad we met, we spoke. ~ Patrice

You couldn’t be what I needed wanted you to be.
No matter how hard you tried you couldn’t be.
You couldn’t be all that I needed desired you to be.
I see you couldn’t be you couldn’t be. ~ Patrice

Procrastination, procrastinating
Get it done now
– maybe
Guilty, guilty, guilty
See it done later
– maybe
In the meantime
I’m sure
– positive
I’m not lazy
Just don’t want to do it now
– too busy
If I put it off
I’ll always have something to do
– crazy
Procrastination, procrastinating
See it done later
– maybe.~ Patrice

A hummingbird came to my window today not seen since in the fall when they all flew away.
Sweet nectar she’s looking for needs right away hovering, looking in she tells me.
Get it ready! Get it ready! Get it ready right away!
The little hummingbird is hungry she’s flown such a distance from far far away.
Now needs some sweet substance til all the blooms are on display.
A hummingbird came to my window and told me all this just this morning just today. ~ Patrice

Patrice’s Art & Poetry Blog
I saw a chipmunk sleeping lazily
Enjoying the day
Quietly.
I saw a dog splashing
Playing in the water
All alone.
I saw a deer eat seeds
From my deck
Secretly.
I saw a tree fall
Smashing all.
I saw ants marching across sand
With a leaf in their mouth
They ran.
I saw a dog cry
Mourning the loss of one
Who’d died.
I saw a tree upside down
How could this be?
I saw a bumblebee sip nectar
Quietly.
I saw a fawn cry
Plaintively.
I saw a stingray fly
Majestically.
I saw a crocodile up close
So scary.
I saw life abound
But none, not a soul, no one
Saw me around.~ Patrice

Won’t go back
My thoughts were right the first time.
Don’t second guess those thoughts let them flow Telling you all all you need to know.
They know
They are connected to the universe and there all thoughts they freely flow. ~ Patrice

Patrice’s Art & Poetry Blog
Pathetic and sad
He goes forth
The essence of bad.
No one curtails
No one dare tell
The evil one
He is going to wither
In hell.
He doesn’t know
It doesn’t have to be so
He could be happy
And glad.
All that’s required
Is to be open, generous
Considerate and mostly
Not angry, bitter
Or sad.~ Patrice

So honoured and excited to be part of Experience Collingwood’s Poets & Pics!
My Poem and Photo titled ‘Me and My Shadow ‘ are in the exhibit ‘Collingwood’s Poets & Pics’ , that’s displayed along Collingwood’s Train Trail for the month of April. This is in celebration of National Poetry Month. There’s a total of 17 signs along this section of the trail. It starts at the Collingwood Museum (45 St. Paul Street) and ends at Collins Street.
If you are nearby, or going to be in the area, go, walk the trail and enjoy the series of poems and photographs exhibited! (Mine is south of the water tower :D)

Working forward Working is a process To pass thru life Feeling accomplished Feeling I’m doing my best
Will there be rewards?
Will there be stress?
I’m sure lots of both Lots to look back on Knowing I did all I could Knowing I did my best. ~ Patrice

This may have been written after a terrible tragedy in 2018 but my thoughts and prayers are the same now for the Ukrainian people who have suffered so terribly much.
Patrice’s Art & Poetry Blog
My Deepest Sympathies to the families, friends
All who know victims in yesterday’s horrific tragedy
My prayers go out to you
To the ones whose lives were brutally cut short
Those injured
For no reason.
No sane reason.
You are in my thoughts, my words, my prayers and my heart. ❤~ Patrice
