I Cope
December 23, 2025
I cope
with
what I have
I live with
that
that I know
I needn’t
worry
about tomorrow
or
even care
if it doesn’t show
I will exist
I will
grow
no matter
what happens
This is all I need to know.

Courtesy
be
what I need
to
believe
No nasty thoughts
no
what could be
No, just honesty
and
kind courtesy.

In The Beginning
December 19, 2025
In the beginning
And
The end
Life moves forward
Not waiting for
Amen
No one laughs or curses
No one needs to
For
In the beginning
We’re learning
And
At the end
We’ve done all
We need to
We’re
At the end.

Still
December 18, 2025
Catching my breath
standing
Still
Hoping with all my heart
you love me
Still
I know I’ve done wrong
I know
I’ve said things uncalled for
I know
but
Still
I need you
in
my life
I need to hear your laugh
I need to know
you’re there beside me
Still.

Grievous Things
December 17, 2025
I am angry
I feel my muscles tighten
thinking thoughts
of
grievous things
I really
rather not.

Morning Doves
December 16, 2025
Morning doves
are
such gentle folk
they don’t yell or scream
like
Blue Jays
cry
No, they simply
silently
move across the quiet sky
cooing softly
as
they sit
side-by-side.
I hope
I can be
like
a morning dove
kind and gentle
full
of
quiet love.

I Met A Lady Yesterday
December 15, 2025
I met a lady
yesterday
kind and courteous
in
every way
Her heart was pure
her words
quiet
not giving away
criticism
no
not her
yesterday
I’m understanding
who I am
cause
she made me
look
inside of me
see
the inner beauty
I too
radiate
for all to see
All because
of
the lady
I met
yesterday.

Soldiers Soldier
December 12, 2025
Soldiers soldier
lovers love
Peace, tranquillity
come to those that soldier on
with love
Make me not
one
that believes
not in love
Make me a soldier
in that army conquering
hatred, prejudice
giving only
unconditional love.

I Treasure
December 11, 2025
I treasure all
you have to say
I know your words
speak truth
no matter what
comes
what goes away
I will listen
hope to understand
the depth
the meaning
of
those words
You speak
you say.
