We are slowly rising up
Taking back what belongs to us
No reproach
Just get it done
Everlasting gratitude has begun.

Not sure where I stand
Not sure where I’ll be
Deep, sad remorse
Consumes
And engulfs me.
Sadness reeks of sickness
Monsters creep
And crawl around
Head full of anguish
Somehow
I must hold my ground.
Back laden
With burdens pulling
Pulling good hearts
Down.
Grip the soft shoulder
Of kindness
Let her lift me up
Munster courage
That surrounds us
It will back me up.

Give me strength
Power and might
To do what
in my heart
I know is right.
No sacrifice
Is too great
When in the end
I’ve done the things
I know are right.
Pain and anguish
May be mine
But if my heart
Turns sad to love
Then it’s right.
So please
Give me strength
Power and might
To do that which
In my heart
I know is right.

Why am I here?
Questions
Questions are all I hear
Why?
Delve deep inside
Your soul modest, gentle
And even maybe
A little slow.
There in peace
You survive
Enveloped in strength
And a moral code
You can’t deny.
Stand strong
Breach the crest
Ride the tide
No one need question why
You alone are the one
To bring you
To the centred one.
Questions?
Many and a few
But for you
All you need to know
The answers live deep inside
Your magnificent soul.
That’s all
All you need to know.

Did you see the night?
Did you see it as it crept
Atop of daylight
Covering each day
With darkness of the night?
Did you see the night?
Morose and sad
Bleeding sympathy to the mad
Whispering night floating through
Corridors filled with sounds
Made to scare, do beware.
Did you see the night?
As it gently held lost souls
Til daylight could unfold
Washing ‘way cold misery
Never to be told.
Yes, I have seen the night
Soft and full of promise
Stars twinkling
In bright nightlight
I did, I did see the night.

Pale bodies writhing
Writhing
To the rhythm of the night
Masking
Beauty in a mist of delight.
Born regal
Born of good stock
Not your average dogma
Flowing
Glowing in the dark.
Feel the rhythm
Feel
The breathless edge of cold
Cold and stark.
Masters
Of the night
Writhing
Writhing in the dark.
