I Have Been This Place Before

I have been this place before
I have stood upon the shore
Of destitution.
I have seen my heart soar
Into skys forever more
Cradled in the reality
Of hope.
I have been this place before
Weep not, weep not
For this has been my life
Throughout the toil
Joy and strife.
I have been this place before
And will remain here
For evermore.
Come join me
We will dance a jig
I have been this place before.

The committee has spoken
The committee has risen
Giving a spokesperson
A chance to be heard.
Nominate one
To speak for them all
The committee has spoken
All is forgiven.
Bless them for being
Bless them for they have risen
And said the things
That kept us imprisoned.
There in our souls
Freeing us now
From that terrible prison.
Fly away, fly away
For the committee has risen
Speaking the truth
For all of us imprisoned.
The committee has spoken
The spokesperson be
A heartwarming person
Freeing us here
In our forever eternity.

Delving Deep Within

Holds so many sins
Scary thoughts prevail
Hesitation stops
And bars the door.
Enough
Enough no more!
Will I survive?
Will I make it
To the other side?
Not mine to decide.
Just got to go and ride
Ride the mighty thoughts
To a spot where I can get off
And walk away
A stronger one today
A whole lot better
Than yesterday.
Yes, delving deep within
Can hold oh so many sins
But something I need to do
I need to do today
Without anymore delay.

Sorrow manifests
Deep within of me
No reason
Just fatality
Slowly rising up
Overwhelming me.
Sorrow
Sadness here
Deep within of me.
Treasure happy
Treasure gladness
See and be
For sadness
Sorrow will fill the glad
If you let it be.
Tinkle of laughter
Skipping
Down the path of destiny
Filling hearts with joy
And all necessities.
Sadness in the gutter
Sorrow no part of me
Let it be.
No sadness
No sorrow manifests
Only happiness
There
Deep within of me.

I struggle here today
In a deep and dark moody way
Anger wells up within
Stepping on a smiling grin
Bringing frustration to the fore
Please go away
Be here never, no more.
Nothing more to say
Try to shift my mood away
From darkness, anger
And all that stuff
To where the sun shines
Clear, oh so bright
And I can be an endearing part
Of whatever hits my aching heart.
