Poppies grow
On the hill
Down the valley
And across the road.
No one knows
How many bow
Giving homage
To those that fell.
Giving their lives
For us to be free
Never once stopping
Turning back round
No, such brave ones
Onward they’d go.
I honor and bow
To the sacrifice they gave
As poppies bow silently
There, at their graves.
Brave men and women
Thank you, is all I can say
For what you have given
I honor you this and all days.

Yet Again
This is it. This is all
Down to earth
Hear them call
Move about
Hear them shout
This is it, this is all.
No matter that
You can’t believe
There in front of you
You perceive
This is it, this is all.
Embrace it fondly
Hold it close
No second chance
To have a boast
This is it, this is all.

Storybook telling, storybook ending
Endeavor to know the lines so well
The costs are dear
The consequences many
Join the ranks
Of the countless enemy
Foe to foe bring it on
Marry the rule
Continue on
Yours to tell
Mine to listen
Storybook telling
Endless ending song.
Why should we know?
Why should we be
Here, in the land
Of no beginning?
Sally forth
Muddle through
Storybook telling
In the midst
Of a storybook ending
Song.
You are right
I was wrong
Not so much starting
But feeling the throng
Of that very sad ending
That untold ending
In a storybook telling
Of so long ago
Endless, ending song.

Sprinkle down the precipitous
Falling down the cliff
Catch a hold of the abyss
See what falling stories hold.
Mighty energetic
Free fall form to keep
Grasp a hold of solid ground
See what does unfold
Here in the deep.

Blazing colors herald fall
No more lazy days for us to recall
Building sandcastles at the beach
Just woolly sweaters
Frosty breath soon to see
While antlered heads rankle
Strong with desire
Chipmunks store, rush about
Then contently sleep beneath
A frosty blanket made of snow
Hills of brilliant color, fading light
See progression as salmon fight
Up the rivers late in to the night
This is fall, blazing colors herald it all.

This is it, this is all
Come meet me at the mall
I will call, I will see
All that matters
There, in front of me.
Journeys long, journeys short
This is it, this is all
Come meet me at the mall
See the glory, see the trite
Be the winner with no spite.
Know that all has a right
To live the best this very night
This is it, this is all
Come meet me at the mall.

A monster lives deep beneath
Surging up with saddened grief
Making all ponder where to go
Melancholy persons reaching out
Filled with disbelief that
No remorse can ever share
Feel me now feeling bad
Fill me up with sadness glad
A monster lives deep within
Changing color on a whim.

Monday morning comes and rises
Bringing with it all surprises
We may expect to see A
But instead are confronted with Z
This is right, this is real
Embrace it all with lots of zeal.
Clouds may thunder, pound and steal
In the end they just heal
Parched earth thirsty for the rain
Pouring down once again
This is right, this is real
Embrace it all with lots of zeal.
Accept what Monday morning brings
To you, be it good or bad
Know it’s come not to make you sad
But grow and thrive
This is right, this is real
Embrace it all from A to zeal.
