The current prognosis is dim
Rain, more rain and then rain
Roof leaking
Raging river in the eavestrough
Basement flooded
Walkway a flood plain
Rain, more rain and then rain.
Build an ark, fly a plane
Off to some high, dry plain
Rain, more rain and then rain.
The mood shifts
Clouds part
Sun beams rays of warmth
Down upon drying pools
Of scattered rain
No more rain, no more rain
Blessed be the sun’s rays
Drying up the clouds rain.

Let my journey be free
Free of anguish
Free of anger
Free of hatred and despair
Free of heartache
Free of selfishness
Let my journey be
Free of all of these.
Let my journey be free
Free to choose, to share
Free to grow and feel gratitude
Free to experience compassion
Free to feel joy in all I do
Free to be me
That’s what I need
My journey to be.

Some days are better than the rest
They start good and manifest
A happiness and all the rest
Of wonderful things
I hold dear to my chest.
Smile, laugh, feel the joy
See the magnificence
In all the beauty free
Yes, it will all be best
Just believe, be he, she or me.

Morning rises clear and bright
Dismissing all that plagued the night.
Optimism reigns supreme
Knowing what must be done
Here in the morning sun.
Clouds may hinder passing light
But don’t forget the morning bright.
This is new, fresh and clear
Make it right my morning dear.

Frustration, solitude
Anger and pain
Making things happen
In spite of all gains.
Why does it happen?
How can I change?
Bring me reality
Happiness and fame
Leave behind anger
Frustration and pain.
This I need
Make it happen
Please, please
Make it happen
Once again.

This is it all around, on the top
Or from the back on the ground
Doesn’t matter how you look
This is it all around.
Be it good, be it bad
Maybe even just a little sad
This is it, all you have
Take a look around.
Stand your ground
Make it happy, make it proud
Not afraid to say out loud
This is it all around.

Today, a special day 101 years ago
A baby was born very far away
No fireworks were let off
No dancing in the streets
But it was special
A baby born this day
Would have been 101.
That baby was my mother
That baby would be 101
I celebrate her life
I celebrate her birth
Always remembering
To me, on this day
A special baby born.
Happy Birthday mom
I love you, remembering
On this day
A special baby born.

Summer rain making way
once again for fall colors
raining down on crisp ground
golden brown, vibrant and pure.
Sending us on the road
be prepared, be secure
knowing all is full and ready
for winter white that follows
These lovely fall colors.
Summer rain, fall colors
blend into stark winter
Be prepared, be right
enjoy the changing, knowing
this is the seasons of life.
Spring soon, the brightness
the freshness bringing new life
Just wait for only
a few dark, dark nights.
