No One’s Listening

July 8, 2020

3 Faces of Foxy - Watercolour Painting by Patrice

No one’s listening
To my heart beat
Nor saying
Any encouraging ways.

When I speak
The echo goes far, far away
Even I can’t hear
It come back my way.

No one’s listening
To anything, anything
I speak or say.

Haven’t Found The Answer

July 7, 2020

Bright Light ~ Photo by Brent

Haven’t found the answer
Haven’t seen the light
Many questions will bring answers
With an illuminating light.

Then when my questions
Are answered
And I can breathe ever so light.

I will look
For more questions to be answered
In that brilliant, all knowing light.

Silent message
Quiet and discreet
Voicing everything
I just couldn’t speak.

Summer Comes

July 2, 2020

Baby Robins ~ Photo by Patrice

Summer comes, breezes blow
Around a fragrant land
No hardship, no anguish
Oh no.

Birds fly,
Feed their young
Crops grow reaching up
To
The hot, hot sun.

 Fawns frolic in meadows
Hidden, lost in woods
Silent except for all the wonders
Filling summer
Beneath a summer sun.

Unholy Being Resting Near Me

July 1, 2020

Black Coral ~ Photo by Brent

Unholy being
Resting
Resting near me

Teeth long like daggers
Smile sinister scaring me
Breath hisses spewing forth
Nasty, nasty.

I will brace myself
I will be optimistic
Lead my life as if
I don’t feel, hear, smell
This awful, awful entity.

Tremendous Help You Are To Me

June 30, 2020

My Mom ~ Photo by Patrice

Tremendous help you are to me
Tremendous, unconditionally
What I say, Where I go
You are there, backing me.

When the day begins, night ends
There in front of me
At my side, my back protecting
You are a tremendous help
Unconditionally.

When I Hear The Sound Of Your Voice

June 29, 2020

Old Trans Canada Hwy Scene ~ Photo by Patrice

When I hear
The sound of your voice
Life becomes so dear
Clouds part, rains stop
And wrens fly near.

No one speaks a word
No one need say
The feelings felt
To convey how
The world is ours
And
We have all the love
We need today.

Another Month Starts

Another month starts today
Another path lies
Focused in some way
On the dream manifesting itself
In all waking, living things.

Gently, quietly step upon the step
That brings all you want, all you need
To the self that sings
Nature’s beauty
Daring, just to dream.

When It Happened, Where It Came To Pass

June 25, 2020

Brick Wall ~ Photo by Patrice

When it happened
Where it came to pass
Now
I know it’s not to last.

In the beginning
At the start, I saw heaven
A place
To rest my heart.

To sleep in restful peace
Bliss being part
Of all I began
I had to start.

All that came to happen
Beginning at the end
Ending
At the start.

Why I Cry

June 24, 2020

Footprints In the Sand ~ Photo by Patrice

You know why I cry
You know, you know

Life would be easy
Life would be fine
If only I’d forget
Those memories that bind.

For no crying will change
What has happened
Nor make it
Not come to past.

If I lived in the present
Not thinking of the past
Never crying for
What happens in the future.

Let it come
Let it past
Now is my time
Now I must make it last.
