Where I’ve never been
Seeking now
Things I’ve won’t begin
Leaving now
Thoughts I shouldn’t have held so tight
Gone now
From the darkest night
Flowing now
On a path not so straight
Holding now
Promise as I go to the light.

When I think about it
I can’t stay
In the realm of
Yesterday.
Move away, move away
From the thoughts, the times
Lived yesterday
Yesterday.

A lot of thoughts in my head
A lot of thoughts
That have not been said.
Swirling, racing round
Racing thoughts
Racing in my head.
Some thoughts I’ve done
Some will rise up
To their vision high
Others will wither, die.
Then too, they’ll become
Just another thought
I thought
In my crazy, thoughtful head

Nor did you know me

No more worst for wear
Still holding
To thoughts of each other

Got only that which
I need to get
A heart cold, burdened down
Opens up and warms
With kindness shown around.

The world will come
Bringing all I can reach
And need to get
Sharing too
With those less fortunate.
A smile does it all
Believe

You’ll receive all you want
And need to get.
