I haven’t stopped to understand
Haven’t known which way
Is at my command
All seems so hard
To comprehend, to understand.

Please let me know
The knowledge needed
The way be seen
For without this where will I be
Except the same place
I’ve always been.

Agonizing, Difficult Regret

Agonizing, difficult regret

Struggling to understand

Just what I did to regret

For no soft heart opens up

Or holds me close

Only solitude, loneliness

Are at my command.

Life of near and far away

Feels trodden upon

No joy to lift me up

No smile that helps me stand

Only agonizing, difficult regret

Struggling to understand.
