In The Dusky River Silence Flows

Crossing at Nanticoke Creek ~ Photo by Patrice

In the dusky river silence flows
Flowers shimmer along the shoals
No one knows which way it goes
Only those that climb upon the shore
Reach for heaven and nothing more.

The deer, the doe drink their fill
Watching always for threats and still
They move with poise
Knowing others come, living life
Wherever the dusky, silent river flows.

The Forest Blooms

May 31, 2016

Spring Flowering Plum ~ Photo by Patrice

The forest blooms with flowers gorgeous
Even in the middle of a dreary night
As light casts its rays across a pond
Reflexing joy in every way.

Suddenly I see a bee buzzing
On a flower right there, in front of me
Deer drink their fill and squirrels
Rack up miles running up and down
A tree’s woody trails.

All is well
Spring has come to this land
The forest blooms
While we prepare to be in the midst of this
That is so good, so grand.
