The sadness in your life
The unkindness
The things that shouldn’t be
My heart goes out
Wants to hold you
Oh, so closely.
I hope in tomorrow’s
Morning light
You’ll be in a better place
Far away from any strife
But near enough

My heart skips a beat
My mind thinks of all the things
I love about you

Now again
I can hear your voice
Taste your lips and behold you

My world is right
I’m loved
I’ll go thru the day
Without a sad or lonely cry.

They tell of times past
Then
Sometimes things ahead
‘Listen
Listen well’
Is what they said

A chance to know
Know how to deal with
What has happened
And what is still ahead’.

Then they go
Fleeting at the best
Don’t make them
All you know
They are in your mind
They don’t exist

In the air you breathe
Growing grass
Or
Rivers that flow
No, they don’t know.

My fingers touched your lips
My hands caressed your feet.
As my soul touched yours
I knew, knew there was
No where else in this world
I need be or rather go.

Seeds are there, then gone
They’re out.
I’m sitting here
Watching, watching
All the goings-on
Go about.
They don’t know
I’m here
They don’t care
About my life, my goings-on.
Cause they have
Their own life to live
Like sing, find seeds
Fly about.

It seems life has dealt me
a heavy load
A load I think I need to carry.
Please, if you could
Let me see where
I can lay down
All that isn’t necessary.
Giving me
The time, the space
To be the one
