You heard me call.
You heard me speak.
Whatever happened
that
you didn’t seek?
Help
with all that’s wrong
makes you sad
makes you weep?
No help will come
If
we do not know.
No trouble solved
when
the answer isn’t seen
the question asked.
And
you sit in the midst
of what
you
just don’t know.

Treacherous, dangerous
Tread lightly and see
Your heart be safe
Arriving in the midst
Of a loving embrace
Tranquil
Secure all to be.

Has anyone seen
Spring or summer?
They were here
Just a while ago.
Gone now
Where oh where
Did they go?
Trees, flowers left
Stranded cold
Shivering in the midst
Of a howling breeze.
If you see them
Spring and summer
Send them back me.
For I’m here
Trudging
Thru this freak’n snow.
