You Heard Me Call

You heard me call.

You heard me speak.

Whatever happened
that
you didn’t seek?

Help
with all that’s wrong
makes you sad
makes you weep?

No help will come
If
we do not know.

No trouble solved
when
the answer isn’t seen
the question asked.

And
you sit in the midst
of what
you
just don’t know.

Will I Show You Who I Am

Will I reveal the face
I know I’ve been?

Will the lines of tomorrow
Be etched
Across my taunt skin?

Will the ones
That happened yesterday
Be still there
In a full or forced grin?

I don’t know the answer
Cause you see
I don’t know who I’ve been.
