You heard me call.
You heard me speak.
Whatever happened
that
you didn’t seek?
Help
with all that’s wrong
makes you sad
makes you weep?
No help will come
If
we do not know.
No trouble solved
when
the answer isn’t seen
the question asked.
And
you sit in the midst
of what
you
just don’t know.

I don’t know the answer
nor the question
I was asked
I’m living with
what has happened
what has come to pass
Will it still be here tomorrow
will it be all I need
I need to ask
No answers come forth
because the answers
are hidden
Hidden deep
deep within
the questions asked.

Before the question
Was ever asked.
Knew the answer
Didn’t have to ask
Or form the words
To know
I must be forever
Where the answer is
Not
The question asked.

But no thought came to mind
Had no idea what was said
No vision of what to do.
My soul was cold
My heart frozen over
My ears, my eyes
Knew not what to do.
My feet they left
Never knowing the answer
To the question asked
Never knowing what to do.
