Are the stories
I tell.
Are they true
Or did I just say words
That make the story
Told well?
Secrets revealed
Bad parts left out
Who knows
How can you tell?
Embellished or truthful
Telling a tale
To remember.
Not because
It’s told correctly
But told well.

Heaven knows
but
doesn’t tell
secrets
from the universe
nor
the past
as well.
Maybe it’s for the best
maybe then
we’ll forge ahead
bask
in the brightness
of those things
that
she does speak of
those things she tells
so well.

Can I
feel, see
the end coming
or
what was
my beginning?
Can I
live in reality
being happy
or just
whining, complaining
full of misery?
No answers come
Cause
I’ve already made
the decision
to live my life
as
best I can
can be.

Slowly
I head for the open gate
the door is
open
I must not wait.
Time will come
I’ll be gone
then
someone else
will guide you thru
that
open gate.
Safe, secure
you will follow me
into
what becomes
our true destiny.

someone needing you
or
all those things
I’ve been
you thought I was
I needed
I wanted to be.
Now
I’ll change
I’ll stand on my own
I’ll be
I’ll say those things
that must be said
so
needed to be true.

I cannot
understand
where the sadness
came from
and
where it hides away.
To
creep out, to consume
when happiness
fades
goes away.

nor do they understand
the way to heaven
is always open

it’s there
Always
at their command.

Applauding

To comfort you, see you thru

When things get hard
When you don’t know
Where to end, where to start
To give you all my strength
Help you see your path
Your lane

Pass thru Heaven’s Gate
When your time has come
I’ll greet you

So I’ll let you go
I’ll move beyond your control
and not be
in a spot
