Keep me whole
keep me
sane
all the rest I’ll handle
as
I pass down the road
to
the lane.
I may
not
know everything
I may
be
just a little spoke
in
all the world’s happenings.
This I know
but
if
you keep me whole
keep
me sane
I’m positive
I can do almost anything.

When
I look back
I see a life so different
so not
the present me
My heart
beats
my eyes see
but
not the way
the way it use to be
Maybe
I’ve grown
maybe I’ve lived
different lives
from an enfant
to
that young girl
oh so lost, asking why
Then
I seen my life
my existence
in a frame
of nature’s beauty
full of kindness
and
singing so sweet
It became the basis
of
how I live
how
I enjoy and love
Letting go
of
anger
sadness so bleak
those things lived
back there
in
yesterday
Those things I now do not seek.

that’s me.

I stay in limbo
I just keep in a sway
not moving forward
standing still
all day.
Will it be
the same tomorrow?
The same as today?
Will I look ahead
but
never, never
find
my way?

There seems
not to be
a lot of sense, logic
nor
harmony
basking itself
in
sunny beauty.
All that seems
to exist
is
anger
hatred and strife
screaming obscenities
throughout
the long cold, horrid night.
Let me
feel
the gift of love
enveloped
in
beauty, happiness
near
people who care.
Not those who
only seek
to
destroy.
Oh please, please
let me.

lost to me
not knowing what to say
no images seen
no goodness, no dreads
does
my pen’s tip
know.
I’ll take a deep sigh
I’ll smile
and
say
‘Maybe tomorrow
I’ll have something most exquisite to say!’

what you do

you make
with no regard

others think.

you do not.
You do your own thing

I’ll follow your example.
I’ll do everything
that
takes me on my own trail
my own path.
Maybe we’ll meet again
maybe not.
But
you showed me
my way.
By doing
what
you needed to
doing what you ought.

On this day

Valentine’s Day.
We’ve travelled
Thru life
Together
Living, loving, laughing
Maybe
A little fighting
Whatever
Life brought us
On that particular day.
Looking back
I smile and say
Life has been good
Since
Way back
When I met my love
On
Valentine’s Day.
