So honoured and excited to be part of Experience Collingwood’s Poets & Pics!
My Poem and Photo titled ‘Me and My Shadow ‘ are in the exhibit ‘Collingwood’s Poets & Pics’ , that’s displayed along Collingwood’s Train Trail for the month of April. This is in celebration of National Poetry Month. There’s a total of 17 signs along this section of the trail. It starts at the Collingwood Museum (45 St. Paul Street) and ends at Collins Street.
If you are nearby, or going to be in the area, go, walk the trail and enjoy the series of poems and photographs exhibited! (Mine is south of the water tower :D)

The necessity has come Has gone All that’s left is Beyond my grasp, my hold It’s gone It’s gone.
Make no mistake I needed all But holding on Wasn’t me Wasn’t What I could become No, no Not at all. ~ Patrice

Telling when telling what and who I need to love, cherish to make it thru.
That’s what the universe gives has given me to do. ~ Patrice

Hold to the land that lets you be the person you want to become.
Allows you never questioning, nor doubting just being, becoming the best you.
That’s all the land asks I’m telling you. ~ Patrice

This may have been written after a terrible tragedy in 2018 but my thoughts and prayers are the same now for the Ukrainian people who have suffered so terribly much.
Patrice’s Art & Poetry Blog
My Deepest Sympathies to the families, friends
All who know victims in yesterday’s horrific tragedy
My prayers go out to you
To the ones whose lives were brutally cut short
Those injured
For no reason.
No sane reason.
You are in my thoughts, my words, my prayers and my heart. ❤~ Patrice

Stolen from my mind.
Lost in the wilderness of confusion, despair.
Solely injured from brutal stabs of casual indifference. ~ Patrice

I know I’ve been lost in the wilderness of low self esteem
Climbing out has been hard rocks, crevasses unholy shards pierce my skin, my life my thoughts
Still I climb I push, pull and shove to a glorious world full of grace, courage and self-love. ~ Patrice

My heart aches my soul cries for a time of clear innocence a time that time has taken to the past
No more to feel to bask in rays of light hearted laughs
Sadness overwhelms hurt seems to last til no more tears left to sob crying for the now distance past. ~ Patrice

Figuring trying to figure it out can’t understand the way, the procedure to get it done figured out.
Will work on it I’ll think about what may be the way to do this, get it done to figure it out. ~ Patrice
