Remember when
The world was small
Worries, cares were nothing
To speak of at all.
No crashing down
Of a market
Not really existing
Not at all.
No change in time
It just moved forward
Regardless of everything
Anything at all.
No mushroom cloud
No toxic smoke
No weeping, wailing
All lost hope.
Those were to come
But when
The world was small
None of that mattered
Not at all.

Feel the respect of life
all life
hold, cherish
and
spread the love
of those lives
throughout the land.
Each life
is precious
all lives are great
hold yours
in reverence
making sure its the best
all
that you possibly can.
~ Patrice
Holding in reverence those lives given
so that we could live these lives we have
You are great, you are loved
Thank you Veterans
for your service and your sacrifice

Feeling honoured
and
very strong
Living the best
I can
making believe
nothing’s wrong.
For tomorrow
will be
another day
I’ll live thru it
hugging
all that’s right
leaving behind
all that’s wrong.

Total failure
Is not an option
I’m taking
Maybe drawbacks
Maybe roadblocks on the path
I’m creating
Still I’ll stay
On my course, my dream
My yearning
And
When I arrive
I’ll realize
That I’ve been here
From
The beginning.

I feel a heart beating
Here in my own heart
I feel a sadness blue
I know I’ve lost a time
When I lost
Lost you
Moved on
But every now and then
I think
And that’s when
I find myself
Missing you.

The snow comes
It does blow
Winter’s breath is cold
Cold
Cold
In the spring
Blizzards are forgotten
With the dawning of warmth
And
The beauty
Growing flowers bring
Melting into summer
Hot, humid
Splashing in warm water
Watching waves wash
To and fro
Fall doesn’t matter
For it seems dying
Is
The main thing
But
Really nothing dies
Only preparing
For a long hibernation
That winter winds
Will
Soon bring.

Leaves falling
Leaving all the ground
Covered
With
A quiet sound.
Breezes
Stirring leaves
Here and there
Falling from branches
Now left bare.
Thru the winter
All quietens down
Passing storms bring
The only sound
Of
Branches cracking
Blowing down.
In the spring
Life will come
Bright and warm
On
Into summer’s sun.
Til
Full circle in the fall
Once again
We’ll see
Leaves fall.

Seeking help, seeking closure
seeing the way
with the vision
from all
that
surround me.
Grateful, amazed
that
this could happen
be
my salvation
within, around
and
enveloping me.

Did you see me?
Were you able to tell me
All that needs to be said
All that is held close
No heartache, no dread.
Did you see me?
Did you feel my heart skip a beat
My breath intake
When I looked
Looked at all the beauty.
Did you see me?
Will you help me
Climb into the highest sky
Gliding thru heavy laden clouds
Knowing all will be well
Breathing in, breathing out.
Did you see me?
~ Patrice
