Somewhere hidden
In the depths of life
Lives
A journey beyond belief
Filled
With delight.
Dive deep within
Feel
That life
Make it yours
No regrets, doubts
Nor respite.

Living in the
Quiet
Listening to the solitude
Feeling all emotions
Surface.
Maybe tomorrow will be
Riotous
But for now living today
Where all is
Quiet.

Patrice’s Art & Poetry Blog

In the forest I found
A house, a home
So profound.
No windows to shed light
But a cozy home, a place for respite
Adorned with flowers pink and white
A bell to toll when someone
Strange comes lurking
Late at night.
A front door I can’t find
Yet welcome are all
Who poke their head inside.
May you see this house
So profound
May you enjoy all it has to give
There in the forest
This house, this home
That I found.

Totally in the dark
Absolutely unable to see
Whether the world will
Come and hold me
Keep me safe
Or
Throw me to the wolves
Surrounding me
Could it be
The wolves will be
My saviour
Surrounding, protecting me
Totally in the dark
Absolutely unable to see.

Why Have I
Listened to the wind
Blowing in my ear?
Why have I
Tried to give back the gentleness
Life has served?
Why have I
Cried when a sad song
Comes on?
Why have I
Not always felt
That I belonged?
The answers to these questions
I don’t know nor can I tell
For they’re written on a slate
Hidden deep and very well.

When things become
Hectic
And out of place
Step back, deep breath in
Move slowly
At a snail’s pace.
The welcoming of plenty
The loss of all things
filled with empty
Can sometimes overwhelm you
Leaving only a place crazily
Hectic.

The morning sun
Brightens the day
Morning mists slowly
Fade away
As robins chirp
Hunting worms all day
To feed young that will soon
Fly away
To a land far south
Where they’ll play
While the morning sun
Brightens the day.
