You hear me speak
You see me thirst
For knowledge unknown
Nothing
Nothing is rehearsed.
Then you leave
You make your way
You too must seek knowledge
In your own private life
Your way.

Another day, a new beginning
heart beats
the way is winning
the soul believes in life itself
knowing only you’re not alone
we all have a guiding light
a gentle voice whispering
words that’ll make us
winners winning.

Quietly, softly the breath intakes
listening
to the heart
explodiate
Kaboom, Kaboom
The legs take their feet for a walk
while
the arms hold close the hands
caressing the softness
of love
seen by the eyes
as
the ears listen
to
the quiet heart
go
Kaboom, Kaboom.

Patrice’s Art & Poetry Blog

The cover of darkness
Has been rolled back
Slowly, so slowly light creeps
Into the day
Til the sun shines bright
Giving light, lighting each way
To everyone, everything
Each and everyday.

There wasn’t anytime
To tell you or change my mind
Racing on into what hasn’t been
Time will tell if it was the right thing
Until then, I won’t say anything
Anything.

Feeling the weight holding me down
Struggling, fighting against a strength
That all I can say, astounds.
Maybe tomorrow the way will be light
Maybe then I won’t be feeling
This heavy weight I’m feeling tonight.

Without your heart
To hold me dear
My world would fall apart
I would surely, be in tears.

Sadness breaks my heart
learning of life to death
seeing those loved
who’ve come and now must depart.
The road is long or maybe short
travelled on with those loved
and kept forever
in our hearts.
Sadness sometimes
is helped
by just holding close
still loving in our hearts.
