Memories come
Then
They pass
I ask the question
Did they really happen
Or
Was I in a dream
That wasn’t part
Of my past?
Memories vague
Sometimes
Vibrant as if they happened
Yesterday
Not long ago
In a distant, distant past.
I’ll remember, smile
And be
Reliving memories
Remembering
A past that was
Really me.

As I stand in awe of all
She reaches down
She touches me
She touches all.
She understands.

I see you in the morning light
in the depth of deep darkness
somewhere
in the middle of a quiet night.
You give me pleasure
you give me strength
something to hold on to
when I feel lonely
weak
and out of strength.
No one else
could I conceive will keep me
safe
and be the one
who carries me far from here
far into eternity.

Working hard
But seem stuck in debris
Struggling, attempting
Fighting
To get free.
Is help on the way
Or
Am I by myself
Can I pull it off
Sit back, relax
Harbouring no doubt?
This I hope, I do pray
But as of now
I’m stuck
In
Disaster’s stinking muck.

Acknowledged the goal
Can I move forward
Saving
Saving my soul?
No answers
Needed
No thoughts of obtaining
That
Elusive goal.
Just in the feeling
Moving forward
Feeling
Feeling all that I see
I touch
And
Now hold.

I was crazy
they thought I was nuts
I heard laughter, jeering
silence
smirks that did suck.
From there I went forward
farther than most
believing in my worth
holding tight to that dream
I brought to fruition
this life
I hold close.

Not that you don’t
I’m sure you know, know a lot.
It’s just that in this time of strife
I’ve been here, I know how anger
Can eat away all happiness
Leaving nothing in your heart.
Please put away your revenge
Your ‘Get Even Tools’
Please see the magnitude
Of what lies before you
And forgiveness be your attitude.

there for me or any of your next of kin
No, you haven’t been.
All about yourself
all about the great big me
thoughts of any other are non existent
never, haven’t been.
It could be tomorrow or the day after that
you’ll see the folly of your ways
step up, be all that
you haven’t
