I slide into the shadows
Paused in a quiet spot
Before heading away from you
And all, all your self-centred thoughts.

My heart beat soft
Taking in the beauty
Beneath, within

Aloft.
No words spoken
No words need said
For all is explained
In a beat so soft
Inside
Instead.

The innocent smile upon your face

Shelter in a troubled world
Your ability of slowing down
A hectic pace.

Sweetness on your face

Ghosts of devils past
Reign
Their leering faces laugh
Shrieking insane
It goes on and on
It seems to last

Last and last.
Those devils are just ghosts
Still
They haunt my head, my heart
They make me relive thoughts
I’d rather not

Those devils of the past.
