There seems
not to be
a lot of sense, logic
nor
harmony
basking itself
in
sunny beauty.
All that seems
to exist
is
anger
hatred and strife
screaming obscenities
throughout
the long cold, horrid night.
Let me
feel
the gift of love
enveloped
in
beauty, happiness
near
people who care.
Not those who
only seek
to
destroy.
Oh please, please
let me.

About the kind gestures
You gave to all that needed love

full of courtesy

in your heart
there beats
anger
absolute misery.

you saw the future
you strove
to make it real
the most
I saw you do this
I held on
tight
I walked behind you
I tugged a little

your coat
Now grown
we walk together
now
we’ve seen the fruition

all our planning
striving, hope
The Light
We’ll smile
that
we made it
we’ll laugh and cry
for
we are together
resting quietly
