Holding my heart
near to me
so it won’t break
fall from joy

misery.
I’ll hold her close
feel the veins and arteries
pumping
throughout
my grateful body.
She has been
but never seen
light
hidden deep
inside of me.
Never spoken or cried
there
she stays
inside of me

Tic tok, tic tok
goes the clock
throughout time
Tic tok, tic tok
does march on
through conflicts
and
happy, pasting times
Tic tok, tic tok
is all we hear
when we meet, love
and marry
Tic tok, tic toc
as
children play
old folks say words
lost in yesterday
Tic tok, tic tok
is what I hear the clock say
as time passes
passes away.
