Healthy and whole
I face the day
Grateful for everything
That has come my way.
No turmoil, no destitute
Just the rising sun’s
Rays
Warming all the land.
And grasses waving
Hello
In the meadow
Where they stand.

All days melt together
Blending in the night
In the quiet,
Long way before
Sun’s rays break
At daylight.
Hopes for tomorrow
Despair on yesterday
All fall away
In the blending of today
From here, from there
From yesterday.

Birds singing in a far tree
Silent sun’s rays breaking thru hovering
Bee doesn’t know you or me.
Tree leans to the sun as squirrels
Scurry, gathering keys
Unlocking nothing for chipmunks scold
Cussing unknown foe hiding
Waiting for them to go.
Spring day starts lasting
Into summer sun
Join the crowd travel
With them til evening comes.
