Still
deep in my soul
my anger festers, rages
because of all
I see
Why does one hurt
another?
Why kill or maim
a living creature
or
another
human being?
Makes no sense
no sense
to me.

Colouring well
staying within the lines
not deviating
not
causing anything
that could be considered
a crime
Maybe tomorrow
or
the day after that
I’ll scratch across the table
colouring
everything black
Always
outside the lines
asking
whatever could be
up
with that?

I feel

all heartache
strife

all moved together
with that

misery

I survived hatred, anger
things
that made me a victim
I am a survivor
I came through
growing into someone
who understands how it happened
I am a survivor
Only hurt, remorse for those
who inflicted that hatred
that anger
I am a survivor
Have moved forward
built a life full of love, generosity
no hatred, some anger
