The sun shines thru
it’s beams radiating
goodness, love
all things beautiful.
Warming the earth
filling the sky
with creatures lovely
able to fly.
The soil is warmed
growing things
feeding all
feeding everything.
We are lucky beings
we’ve been given
life
from the sun’s radiating streams.

A big milestone
looms in my way
not one to saunter to
not one to bypass or ignore
not today.
Strength and courage
are mustered to surpass
the obstacles seen today
to that tremendous milestone
on my path, on my way.

waiting for the sky
to take away
all the hurt, pain
I experienced
yesterday

Some days
I know
and
some days you do.
No one
is intrigued
with not knowing
what to do.
You do your best
you do
you do
what else is there?
I know
and
so
do you too.

Worry, wonder consuming me
will it be okay or will I be
surrounded by misery?
Bite my lip
still my wicked thoughts
fill the future with all that happiness
has brought.

We keep secrets
We hold them tight
Never exposed
To see the morning light.
We keep secrets
Silent, secretive
They speak not a word
Sometimes to the grave
They’re carried, never heard.
We keep secrets
Untold secrets
We grasp them tight
Feeling the burden
The weight not light.

My father passed away
Passed away many years ago
On this day.
Memories are all I have
Thoughts of yesterday
Whether happiness, laughter
Or crying in a most sadden way.
My father was my saviour
A man of strength
I loved everyday.
He had troubles
Complications like we all have
As we travel thru our lives
On our way.
All this he overcame
Becoming a beacon of light
On my darkest days.

Something different
Exceptional

No retaliation, nor regrets
For this ending
Will begin a new beginning
Better
