Butterfly flutters
Breathing in sunlight
Going from left
To right
Landing on a flower
That feeds just right.
Beauty encompasses
Wings in flight
Staying still
Only a second
To take a taste
Of the drink of life.

Heard them say
their words with feeling
Heard the tone
and
plaintive call.
Knew my words
compared to theirs
were small
overall.
Understand
they have the stature
believe
their words say
it all
But
I look within myself
and know
I still have to write
those words given me
I have to answer
that
inner call.

My heart is empty
A soul full of
nothing
I walk thru the world
a zombie
feeling, hearing, seeing
nothing.
Will I wake
I will arrive at a place
full of love
joy and happiness
a place where
I can cry
I’m alive, I alive!

Seeking much
Getting none
My mistake
Going round
Going forward
Backward
Sometimes means
I’ll accomplish what I seek
Repeating what I’ve done
Perfecting what I’ve been
Deep breath in
Air billowing out
I live
I am everything
I’m about.

The rings of life
See them circle
Bringing
Embracing life
Different colours
Different lines
Going round
Since
The beginning of time.

feel your presence
Only if I could keep you
always near
This I would do
only if I could
Could be forever
with you.

I hold you close
I keep you
tight to my chest
No one will come
between our love
you are the one
the best.
Our love will live
into tomorrow
all the days ahead
for you are my love
the one I live for
long for
forgetting all the rest.

I let them go
He held me close
No words were said
It was as if
He was a ghost.
Tomorrow may be
A different day
I hope
He’s with me
Keeping all
That’s bad at bay.

Sleepy, tired
wake up from tired sleep
open eyes, rub the sleep right out
yawn quite a bit
move about
breath in, breath out.
Wake for the day starting, begin
sleep tonight after dark steps in
where once again
sleepy, tired is what is felt
begins.

When I look in the mirror
I see an old lady
Starring at me.
I agonize over
Whether she
Really likes me.
Does she think
Me silly
I can’t see.
But so want to tell her
I’m happy
She got to be an old lady
Just like me!
