If I Need To Write

July 15, 2014

Starting Points in Math illustration by Patrice for publisher, Ginn & Company

If I need to write
I will write.

If I need to cry
I will cry.

If I need to see why I pray
I’ll find why I need to.

I Had Forgot What A Magical Place She Is

July 14, 2014

I had forgot what a magical place she is
Where wolves soar and hens dance jigs
Where dogs talk and cats read lips
Where dreams are real and sit right beside of you
Ah yes, her place is where magical roars
It is. It is.

I Used To Write Most Every Night

July 10, 2014

I used to write most every night
About what was my passion
My insight.

Now, tonight I collect my thoughts
Watch the sky
Watching planes fly by.

Can’t
Can’t write no wondrous things
Can’t bring myself to find passion
In anything. ~ Patrice

Soft And Tender

July 9, 2014

Travellers Thru Life ~ Photo by Patrice

Soft and tender my heart waits to remember
Kisses, caresses I’ve lived in my life, seen in my life
Gentle and kind
Making my world one I don’t mind.

The heart is full with it all
Trying to make sense of it all
Because blessed we be
When in the midst of some senseless tragedy
We see a soul soft and tender
That’s when we remember
Remember our heart is full, full of it all
Soft and tender.

Everyday’s A Treasure

July 8, 2014

Everyday’s a treasure
A treasure to be able to share it with you
And I think it is a treasure not only for me
But for you too.

A treasure for me and for you.

For All I Know

July 7, 2014

Hoya Flower ~ Photo by Patrice

For all I know
The world may not be round
It could be full of crowded, crumbly ground
Coming up, breaking down
For all I know.

For all I know
Birds sing to bring joy and happiness
In the chilly, warming spring
For all I know.

For all I know
The squirrel runs, the rabbit plays
Making life an serious, endless game
For all I know.

For all I know
Rain falls to the ground
Spreading life most profound
Asking nothing in return
For all I know.

For all I know
Skin is not skin deep
It lives and breathes
It holds the soul within the body
Until it’s time to go
For all I know. For all I know.

It’s Going To Be Okay

July 3, 2014

It’s going to be okay
All this badness will fade away
It’s going to be okay.

Tears will be for not
It’s going to be okay
On this sad but sunny day
I know, I pray
It’s going to be okay.

Did You Forsake Me?

July 2, 2014

Ursa ~ Photo by Jennifer Clark

Did you forsake me, leave me to die?
Will my heart break, will I know why?
Power and strength are not given to cry
But for me the world is misery
Forsaken, cloudy and die.

Then The Rain

July 1, 2014

Blooms in a Storm ~ photo by Patrice

Then the rain came falling down
Sparks of water splashing on the ground
Feeding life to all beings found
Resting only in between showers pouring
Raining down
Soaking up the fallen down.
