When I hear my heart
Pounding
My breath takes away
All the fear I had living
Past yesterday
My feet planted in heaven
My arms embracing love
Now I can face tomorrow
Knowing

See the beauty
The majesty
Only one
To
Help me
Is
Me
Me alone
Can see all this
Around and before the likes
Of
Little mortal me.

I see
Clouds float by
But nowhere do
I see you
Nowhere
With my searching eyes
I feel a loss
I feel it
Deep
Within my soul
Still I can’t find you
Anywhere
Anywhere I go.

No one in the world
Sees the countryside, the sky
Others in my journey
Exactly
Just like me.
They see a different world
They don’t see
What my eyes experience
No
Not just like me.
But then
I don’t see the countryside, the sky
Others on this journey
Exactly as they do
No where near
What they do see.

When
I must be sad, lonely
Not happy
Tell me if I’ve made
A mistake
Took for granted a kind gesture
A sweet refrain
For
If I have
If I’ve been callous, miserable
unforgiving
Then let me know
Let me see
A better way
And
Be a happy, giving
Carefree person
Who loves with no mistakes.

Feeling the heart pound
Listen
Listen to that sound.
Life is given, taken away
Only the heart moving
Signifies life breathes
We live
We live today.

Can I see the falling leaves
Leaving anything but beauty
All around me .
No way
Will I be alone for all eternity
For you’ll be there
Beside of me.
No way
Can I hear
The footsteps in the fall
Walk away from all
I love.
No way
I’ll let it be
Nothing but love, beauty
Surrounding me
Now and all eternity.

Today

Needless to say
Yesterday.
Cry if you wish

Say what you need to

I’m holding on, holding tight
To all that I love
Now and throughout
The dark, dark dangerous night.
Let no one feel
Once more, ever again
The awful feelings I felt
Way back then.
Let them be good, be great
Let them give me safety
Solace.
Let me
Radiate
Kindness and love.
Let me take all of this with me
As I move through life
The coming year, the day
The dark, dark dangerous night.

Then comes back around
No breath is taken
Except on its sacred ground.
The future is hidden
The past is the past
Nothing now will forever
Last.
Turning slowly, turning fast
The world is ours
Hold on
