That girl has gone
Past away
Only one left is an old lady
Living in yesterday
Her smile says
I know who I am
I know where I came from
For what I stand
She doesn’t need to say
Anything else
For those that are near her
Love her
Know she loves them
That way
She understands that young girl
Didn’t die
She lives within her heart, her mind
Giving all as she did
When she walked the land.

Nor
Do they stay
Close to destruction
No, not in anyway.
Try to resurrect
The old, the traditional way
But
Sometimes
It’s best to let it lay.

For my mind remembers
The sweetest things

That’s all they are now

Memories

Could it be

Where I look
Cause you too
Are nothing more
Than
A memory

My mind has
Put
Away for safe-keeping
To later embrace

Feeling
It all the time
Nestled deep in my heart
Beating love
With
Each stroke of time
In rhythm, in rhyme.

Who I can revere
Smile, laugh at
From now to eternity
Let my emotions
Flow with cheer
Keep a smile upon my face
Even in times
That are so hard, so severe
I must not
Believe in trouble or hardship
See, be the light
That guides lost souls to their own
Lofty atmosphere.

Well within
Inside of each
Brought forth

Only to review

Let no one come between

No, none of that

Nothing
May we laugh in joy, in ecstasy
May we live together

Total harmony
May life be
Just the best

Anymore or anything.
